1.My go to song would be anything by Lil Baby. I say this because Lil baby is one of the best rappers in the game. He does not always encourage the youth to do bad things. He wants people to learn from his mistakes and take the right path to success. Lil Baby gives back to the community by having food and toy drives during the holiday seasons. Also, he wrote a song about police brutality during the pandemic speaking out on what was going on in America during that time.
2.A song that meaningful background to me would be Sum Too Prove-Lil Baby. I Picked this song because there was a time when I was really sick and wasn't able to run track and do the things I loved doing. When this song came out, I really connected with it because I felt like I had Sum Too Prove because I once was one of the top sprinters in the country and couldn't compete because I was ill. So, I was motivated to push through the hard times and show people that anything is possible if you motivated
When reading your blog Isaiah I agree with your music taste. We share mostly the same music taste. Lil baby is one of the most popular and best artist out right now. His world play, flow and choice beats makes him top of the line artist. When listening to "Sum 2 prove, anybody can relate to that because I feel like everyone at one point of time in there life has been counted out and been the underdog, and has to prove that they are really that person, and defy the odds. With NBA youngboy take of his music I can agree with you cause I can't really listen to his music too much cause I can't relate to.
ReplyDeleteI like your music taste! I think Lil Baby is awesome and the messages he conveys in some of his songs are really good, and it's so awesome to hear that Sum 2 Prove motivated you to work hard because it did the same for me when coaches doubted that I could play college soccer. Also, I agree with you about YB. I do not connect with him either and personally just do not see what others do when they hype him up.
ReplyDeleteWe have a similar music interest in some ways. I like lil baby's music and have a few songs of his on my playlists (Yes Indeed will always be my favorite). I think it's super awesome his music inspired you to work harder and prevail over your obstacles. I also very strongly agree with your stance on youngboy, I personally don't see the appeal of his music but its not for me. It's a little too aggressive for my tastes.
